Hot off the Press - 2013 "The Navigator" newsletter.

Join us May 24-26, 2013 in Montreal for our East Canada & NY-NJ Section meetings.

The East Canada Section was started in 1950 by a small group of women pilots.

It has since grown and extends across Ontario, Quebec and the 4 Atlantic Provinces.  East Canada Section is made up of 5 Chapters:

  1. Montreal Chapter (Quebec)
  2. Eastern Ontario Chapter (HQ is Ottawa)
  3. First Canadian Chapter (HQ is Toronto)
  4. Maple Leaf Chapter (HQ is London)
  5. Sleeping Giant Chapter (Thunder Bay)

On Dec. 29, 1988 East Canada Section was officially incorporated.

We've had a pretty amazing group of Governors over the past 60 years.

We celebrated our 60th anniversary (99s in Canada) in style on October 29th, 2010!

To keep our history alive, we've included some of our Governor's newsletters online.

OUR 2012 EAST CANADA SECTION MEETING

Here's our latest Governor's newsletter "The Navigator" (July 2012).

(June 2012) We've just gathered in Ottawa at the Sheraton for our 2012 East Canada Section meeting.  International President-elect Martha Phillips and her husband Art attended and shared news from the international perspective.  Kathy Fox gave an informative safety seminar Friday afternoon.  Saturday evening Heather and Rod Fleck from the Vintage Wings shared stories and pictures about our Canadian aviation history, centering around Canadian aircraft and pilots. Margo McCutcheon received the 2012 Governor's Service Award.  A new stamp commemorating Isabel Peppler was released, and the Peppler family was in attendance to celebrate this special occasion.  Shirley Allen will be inducted into the International Forest of Friendship in June 2012.  Some souvenir photos (courtesy of Akky, Jacquie and Dorothy) follow:
